The Captive Princess
A Story Based on the Life of Young Pocahontas
Pocahontas is a curious girl, exploring every inlet and pool along the Tidewater lands of her people. After encountering the landing of the colourless strangers, she becomes friendly with one named John Smith. She is even willing to risk her life to save his.
Over the next few years Smith and his men befriend her people, but when an accident forces him to leave for England, the friendships unravel quickly. Fifteen-year-old Pocahontas is captured and an impossible ransom is demanded.
Remembering how she once offered herself in the place of John Smith, she begins to recognize her own need to be set free by the sacrifice of Christ.
