Reception
Reception! Along with baptism and election, it is one of the most debated scriptural topics. Therefore, we expect this book of 11 chapters to be challenging and enlightening. We will see that requirements for assembly fellowship were revealed to a greater extent as outward conditions in the Church changed from the time of Acts to 2 Timothy, Paul's last epistle. One chapter shows how associations affect Reception and another is on so-called occasional fellowship. A further chapter asks and answers questions that a person interested in remembering the Lord in the breaking of bread might ask. There are two appendices for those desiring a deeper study.
