Ransom's Mark
A Story Based on the Life of the Pioneer Olive Oatman
In the summer of 1850, 13-year-old Olive Oatman and her family embarked with a wagon train down the Santa Fe Trail, seeking the new "promised land" of California.
The family's exciting adventure turns desperate when the wagon train disbands and Olive is captured by outlaw Yavapai Indians. Even after she is rescued by the peaceful Mohaves, Olive struggles to adjust to her difficult new life. Encouraged by an unexpected friendship, she begins to see the Mohave tattoo on her chin as a mark for ransom, a sign of God's love and deliverance.
