The second part of this classic commentary on Deuteronomy has been continuously in print since it first appeared. Charles Mackintosh did not set out to provide a detailed commentary but rather to draw attention to Scriptural principles, illustrations and examples found in Deuteronomy. The author's second volume on Deuteronomy continues to deal with Moses' discourse on Israel's history in the wilderness, their failings and God's grace, and what is required of the people of God. As with his volumes on the earlier books of the Pentateuch, he draws out the basic truths of God's Word, so applicable to the saints of every age. Mackintosh's style is warm, very readable and clear.
