The Local Church - what is it?

When we become Christians by trusting the Lord Jesus as our Saviour we also become part of the church, the body of Christ 'for by one Spirit are we all baptised into one body' (1 Cor. 12:13).

This wonderful fact should have practical consequences for our lives as it did for the first Christians who 'were baptised' and 'continued stedfastly in the apostles' doctrine and fellowship, and in breaking of bread, and in prayers' (Acts 2:41,42).

But how do we follow their example today when Christians are so divided?

This little booklet answers this by taking us back to what God says about the local church in His Word, the Bible. If we want to please Him we can be sure that He will show us His will and help us to obey Him in this important part of Christian living.
