Meditations on the Book of Ezra

The book of Ezra tells how a fraction of the people of God were able to leave behind the bonds of their captivity, depart from the false situation, abnormal to them as the true people of God, and return to things as they had been at the beginning. What they accomplished was only a shadow of what had been apparent at the start. Nevertheless, they were pleasing to God and doing His will again. The book of Ezra, therefore, has much to tell us about doing His will today. There is a lesson in every chapter of the book.
