DVD Tanglewoods' Secret
Set in the woodlands of the south of England, in the late 1940's.
Philip and Ruth are staying with their rather strict aunt whilst their parents are abroad. Ruth is impetuous and outspoken and often gets them both into trouble of one kind or another.
Building a secret hideout in the woods, the children meet Terry, a gypsy boy, who shares the secret of the forest with them.
The sickness and death of Terry, after falling from a tree, causes Ruth to ask many challenging questions of her wise friend, Mr Tandy, a local shepherd.
Based on the book by Patricia St. John, this beautiful, entertaining and moving film is ideal for children but is also delightful entertainment for everyone.
