Product Description

A message from the angel: It seemed a very ordinary night long ago when a few unnamed and unknown shepherds were watching over their shep on the hills outside Bestlehem, when suddenly they were bathed in a light from Heaven. Before their eyes stood an Angel-the Angel of the Lord, and they were filles with fear. Before they could move, the Angel spoke and gave them the most important message a human could ever hear. The first words of that amazing message from heaven were, ¨Fear not:¨ What did those shepherds fear? Was it fear of the eternal? They knew this angel had come from outside of time and like most of us, thoughts of eternity can touch us with fear so we tend to push them out of our mind. Perhaps it was fear of the spiritual. This was not a natural experience. It had to do with the spirit. We all have a body and are conscious of a self living within us. But God gave us a spirit by which we can come to know and enjoy God above us. It is in our very nature to long for a true spiritual experience, but we may fear this as being ¨too mysterious¨. Perhaps it was fear of the spiritual. This was not a natural experience. It had to do with the spirit. We all have a body and are conscious of the world around us. We also have a soul and are conscious of a self living within us. But God gave us a spirit by which we can come to know and enjoy God above us. It is in our nature to long for a true spiritual experience, but we may fear this as being ¨too mysterious¨. Perhaps their fear was that of the irrational. How could they understand or ever explain this? Many fear what they do not understand. These are real fears. Then how do we ¨Fear not?¨ The message of the Angel was good news from God. The Angel said, Ï bring you good news.¨ Well, they needed good news just as we all do today. So what was this ¨good news?¨ The Angel goes on to say that this Message will bring ¨Great Joy¨. Humankind is in full pursuit of happiness, exhausting their strength and time and money if only they can find it. Many discover, but not until it's too late, that there is no happiness in the pursuit of happiness. But this Message is not about happiness. It is about Joy! We cannot be sad and happy at the same time, but joy is from God and remains, even in times of sorrow. We all need this joy, and now we are told we can have it - but how? The Angel goes on to tell those wondering shepherds that this Message from Heaven is not for a selected few, but ¨for all people¨. It is in fact the only Message on the face of the earth that oversweeps every barrier that divides the human race - colour, culture, language, money and social standing. This is a Message for you and me. What is this wonderful Message then? A Saviour has arrived out of eternity to save us! Save us from what? From the deeds of sin we have committed - all of them! But more, He is the Saviour from the disease of sin that afflicts us and causes us to sin. Even more, He is the Saviour from what we are, defiled by sin and guilty, to make us brand new beings bound for Heaven. He made all this possible by His death on the cross for sin and for sinners such as we are. Then He arose from the death, a living Saviour, to offer the gift of eternal life to all who will receive Him by faith. But who is He, this wonderful Saviour? The Angel tells us that He is ¨Christ the Lord¨. This glorious Person is the only One born already a King! No king was ever promised so fully. Hundreds of prophecies declared He was coming. No king was ever announced so gloriously - ¨a multitude of the heavenly host¨ accompanied the great Angel with the good news. No king was ever born so miraculously, located so unusually and discovered so humbly, lying in a manger. Sad to say, no king was ever rejected so shamefully, treated so cruelly, crucified so unjustly. But no king was ever raised from the dead so mightily and exalted so highly. No king has ever loved us so completely and now He calls us, each one to receive Him personally. He stands knocking today at the heart's door seeking an entrance. When He came to earth there was no room for Him in the inn. Today this glorious Message from God is for you, listen to it! ¨Fear not!¨ Trust Him fully, and receive Him simply by faith into your heart. Is there room in your heart for this Wonderful Saviour¨ ¨Behold, I stand at the door, and knock: if any man hear my voice, and open the door, I will come in to him, and will sup with him, and he with me.¨ (Rev 3:20)
