A new 6 volume edition as originally published but in a modern format of this rich devotional guide that shows the unfolding of the revelation of the person and work of the Lord Jesus Christ in the Pentateuch. This commentary has provided precious spiritual help for five generations.

This classic commentary on Deuteronomy has been continuously in print since it first appeared. Charles Mackintosh did not set out to provide a detailed commentary but rather to draw attention to Scriptural principles, illustrations and examples found in Deuteronomy. Such is the value and scope of Deuteronomy that the author found it necessary to write two volumes on it. He shows that there is no mere repetition of the earlier books in Moses' discourse on the Law but much valuable light is shone on the ways and just requirements of God and the evils of the human heart. The author defends the Scriptures against the attacks of liberal unbelievers and shows how applicable they are in this age, though written so long ago for people in such a different situation from our own. Mackintosh's style is warm, very readable and clear. Every reader will gain spiritually from his writings.
